This began as an account of my travels through India and Bangladesh, and continues on as I contemplate the interrelationships of nature, culture and our built environment. At first I thought: "How nice, recycling and art..." But if you look at the way the objects (people, animals etc)are placed, it's similar to the way gods are placed in a shrine, especially in cultures that have polytheist beliefs. (see: http://the-landscape.blogspot.com/2008/01/toyokawa-inari.html)
